The following browsers have been approved for use with the Wisconsin CIB Record Check web site:

Microsoft Internet Explorer 5.0 or higher, Cipher Strength* 40-bits or higher

Netscape 6.1 or higher, Cipher Strength* 40-bits or higher
*Cipher Strength refers to the degree of
encrypting sophistication the browser contains. You should be able to
tell the cipher strength level by clicking Help in your
Internet Explorer or Netscape title bar and choosing About Internet
Explorer or About Netscape. The window should display a
message letting you know the cipher strength of your browser. If the
cipher strength is less than 40, you will need to upgrade your browser
software.
The following browsers are not
supported by the Wisconsin Department of Justice:
- AOL, all versions
- CompuServe, all versions
If you believe you are using an approved Internet browser version
and are having trouble with how the Record Check results are displayed
on your screen, please contact the Record Check
Administrator.
